  My grandfather (August Behrmann)dug the foundation for the church at Bowen and Longs Peak with horse and a scrapper (or what ever they called it) and one of my uncles(Francis Bruning) put the shingles on the steeple. My mother, father, and both sisters were confirmed there. My parents were married there my mother’s funeral was there. Both my sisters were married there and my Sister Marcene Cropp played the pipe organ that was there, starting when she was 12 yrs old. Until they moved to church at Francis Street and Mt. View .
